Description

Early 20th century cast-iron lamp standard by A Ballantine & Sons converted to double as pillar clock, with clock by James Ritchie & Sons (1985), assembled and erected 1985. Squared rubble, square-section plinth with commemorative plaque (see Notes) giving way to base of lamp standard with plaque worded 'Lighting standard donated by A Ballantine & Sons, New Grange Foundry, Bo'ness, 1985' and surmounted by fluted lamp column with dolphins and shells at base.
