Description
The Christian Institute, located at 16-18 Newmarket Street in Falkirk, was designed by George Deas Page between 1880 and 1881. This building features a mix of Renaissance and Romanesque architectural styles. It is two stories tall with piended roofs and an ashlar front. The central section is raised and has a pediment, flanked by channelled pilasters. The front includes a triple window at the center with stilted arches, along with one window on either side. The ground floor is designed for a shop, while the flank wall facing Glebe Street is constructed from rubble.
