Description

1903-1906 incorporating remodelled two-storey building of earlier date at south corner. Nos. 2-6 designed by James Strang in 1903. Nos. 8-16 designed by Alexander Gauld in 1904-06 (as a hotel).

Three-storey, free Renaissance treatment, ashlar, shallow three-light oriel windows rising from shopfronts corncing, corner turrets with lead cupolas, balustraded parapet; ground floor shops (two good original shopfronts).
