Description
The Wellington Statue on Newmarket Street in Falkirk was created by Robert Forrest in 1851 and was purchased from his executors by James Gowans Sr, who erected it in 1854. The statue is made of freestone and depicts an equestrian figure that is dismounted, standing on an ashlar plinth.
