Description
This is a wall-mounted sandstone plaque dating from the later 19th century to the earlier 20th century, set into a short coursed rubble sandstone wall. The plaque is made of ashlar and features gabled coping with a central semicircular detail. The inscription, which is somewhat weathered, reads: "NEAR THIS SPOT ON 29TH APRIL 1868, A LEGIONARY TABLET WAS DISCOVERED, xxxx AT EACH SIDE GROUPS OF FIGURES IN RELIEF xxxx THE CENTRE THE FOLLOWING INSCRIPTION."
