Description
The Orchard Hotel is an early 19th century house with a classical front. It has two storeys and three bays, constructed from droved and painted ashlar. The façade features painted architraves with rosettes at the corners and a central doorpiece supported by engaged Roman Doric columns. The building is adorned with giant fluted angle pilasters that have small scalloped and fluted capitals, a fluted frieze, and a mutule cornice. The roof is slate, with straight skews and end stacks. There are spear head garden railings, and there is a poor addition to Princes Street.
