Description
The Community Education Centre on Princes Street in Falkirk was built between 1845 and 1846 by John Tait, with an addition by Alexander Black in 1868. This late classical building is one and a half storeys tall and features a prominent single-storey, three-window advanced centre. The windows are architraved and corniced, and the building has a cornice and parapet. On either side of the centre, there are two-storey sections with two windows each. The front is constructed of tough ashlar, while the flanks are made of rubble. The roof is slated and has a piended design, with twin central chimneys. At the rear wing, there is a twin arched entrance.
