Description

The Bank of Scotland, located at 39-41 Vicar Street in Falkirk, was designed by Sir George Washington Browne in 1899 and showcases an Early Renaissance style. The building features an asymmetrical design with a three-storey section on the left that has a pedimented gable. The ground floor is adorned with Doric pilasters, while the upper levels display superimposed Ionic orders. A Doric columned doorpiece is a notable feature, and the right-hand section is plain with three windows. The exterior is finished in red ashlar and has a slated roof.
