Description
Woodcroft is a villa located on Carronvale Road in South Broomage, Larbert, designed by T L Watson in 1888 for George Sherriff. This building is little altered and showcases the English arts and crafts style. It features an asymmetrical design with deep-eaved red-tiled roofs and walls made of rubble with ashlar dressings. The gables are either tile-hung or plastered and timber-framed. The windows include sash and case styles as well as leaded or small-paned casements, with barge-boarded gables. The villa is one and a half stories tall, with a depressed-arched main door and single, mullioned windows that may also be transomed, featuring timber divides on the upper floor. The entrance front has a picturesque arrangement of wall planes and gables, complemented by chimney stacks.
