Description
Larbert Old Church, built in 1820 by Hamilton of Glasgow, is a Perpendicular Gothic structure with a rectangular plan and a ridge roof. The eastern window features painted glass rather than stained glass and there is a three-sided internal gallery. The church has a square bell tower adorned with four turrets.
In the churchyard, there is a brown marble fountain consisting of a shallow bowl on a turned circular plinth, decorated with animal head ornamentation near the base. A small plaque on the fountain reads, "Presented To Larbert Parish Church By J P Smith Esq JP October 1923."
The entrance is marked by chamfered sandstone gatepiers topped with crenellated polished ashlar caps, which support decorative cast-iron gas lamp fittings. The entrance features simple two-leaf wrought-iron gates and plain railings set in stone copes.
