Description

The Policy Walls and Gate Piers at Whittingehame Estate are made of rubble red sandstone and date from various periods, likely including the 18th century. The walls feature semi-circular coping. There are square ashlar gatepiers with large ball finials located by the road leading to the church. To the south, there are drum piers with smaller ball finials at the wooded entrance, which was overgrown in 1988. Additionally, there are drum piers to the east of the church piers, which have moulded coping and the remaining bases of former ball finials.
