Description
Moffat's Monument, located on Main Street in Ormiston, is a 21-foot high obelisk made of polished pink granite from Peterhead, designed by D W Stevenson in 1885. The monument commemorates the work of Robert Moffat, a missionary. It features a stepped plinth and has round arched faces on the pedestal. One face displays a bronze alto-rilievo portrait of Moffat, while the other two faces feature commemorative inscriptions. The obelisk rises above the pedestal.
