Description

Earlier 19th century, probably incorporating earlier fabric. L-plan 2-storey farmhouse with basement to gabled N jamb. Red sandstone rubble with ashlar dressings; eaves course. S elevation: base course. 3 symmetrical bays. Corniced door with moulded surround at

centre; decorative fanlight. Tall windows in flanking bays at

ground. Window to each bay at 1st floor. French door in W return elevation. E elevation: 4 almost symmetrical bays, 2 at centre grouped closely, window to each bay at each floor. N elevation of N jamb with basement door and window to 1st and 2nd floor at left. Lean-to porch and outbuildings in re-entrant angle, 3 doors and 2 windows. 12-pane glazing pattern in sash and case windows. End stacks. Grey slates

to piended and pitched roof. Garden walls: ashlar coped high rubble walls to garden to W of house, with 2 serpentine quadrants adjoined to W elevation; currently closed at W by modern farm buildings. Gatepiers:

2 square ashlar corniced gatepiers to drive, with ball finials.
