Woodburn, Lyars Road, Longniddry

Woodburn is a two-storey and attic villa built around 1920 in the Arts and Crafts style. It features a prominent M-gable dormer on the west front and is finished with white painted harl and ashlar cills. The north elevation includes a door to the right, a first-floor window, a small window to the left at ground level, and a diamond light in the attic. The west elevation has eaves that sweep down over rectangular window projections on both sides at ground level, supported by a deep base course. The eaves bridge the centre to create a sheltered recess, with the M-gable dormer above featuring tripartite windows on each gable.

On the south elevation, there is a modern conservatory addition at ground level, along with two windows to the right and a window with a diamond light similar to those on the other elevations. The east elevation shows the M-gable interrupted by a stack on the outer left and a lean-to addition at ground level, with irregular fenestration and a stair window. The villa displays various glazing patterns, predominantly small-pane casements, though there is an unfortunate modern replacement on the west side at ground level. The roof is covered with red tiles, and the building features swept eaves, shouldered corniced stacks, and terracotta cans.
