Harmony, Gosford Road, Longniddry

Harmony is a 1933 asymmetrical Arts and Crafts villa located on Gosford Road in Longniddry. The building is two stories tall and has five bays, featuring a harled exterior with ashlar cills.

On the southeast elevation, there are three bays to the left beneath a U-shaped gable, which is bridged at the center above the doorway. The doorway has a roll-moulded ashlar surround and a semi-circular pediment that is broken by an abstract relief, also dated 1933. The door itself is boarded. Flanking the doorway are four-light windows at the ground level, and there is a tripartite window in each gable on the first floor. To the left, there are two additional bays with a four-light window at the ground level and a slate-hung swept dormer above for the attic. There is also a garage opening to the outer left.

The northeast elevation features a gable at the center with a stair window, and to the left, there is an advanced piended single-storey and attic wing. To the right, there is a bow window at the ground level. The attic has two slate-hung swept dormers. The roof is steeply pitched and covered with silver-grey slates, possibly Westmorland, and has swept eaves. The harled exterior includes ashlar-coped stacks with original cans.
