Recreation Hall, East Fortune Hospital

The Recreation Hall at East Fortune Hospital, built around 1916, is a tall single-storey, six-bay rectangular-plan former lecture hall that was part of the former Royal Naval Airship Station. It features a concrete plinth with an integral drainage channel and a brick base course. The exterior is clad in white-painted corrugated iron, with timber eaves and barge-boards. There is a door located in a lean-to porch on the south end elevation. A square-plan boiler house is attached to the north elevation of the hall, with its roof extending to form a canopy, and it is predominantly covered with horizontal timber boarding. The south elevation, which is the principal elevation, has a central lean-to porch with an entrance on the east return and a wider lean-to to the left of the porch.

The building has six-pane metal framed windows with top-hung hoppers. The roof is pitched and covered in red-painted corrugated iron, while the boiler house has a mono-pitched roof with ridge ventilators.

Inside, as seen in 2010, there is painted vertical timber boarding lining the ancillary room.
