Description
The Reading Room on Main Street in Longniddry, dated around 1890, is a single-storey, three-bay building constructed from timber. It features a door located on the right side of an advanced gabled porch at the center, with bipartite windows flanking a large four-light window on the gable end. The building has a multi-pane glazing pattern, overhanging eaves adorned with barge boarding and finials. The roof is covered with corrugated metal, and there is a brick stack for a lean-to boiler house at the rear.
