Overdale, 2 Carse View Drive, Bearsden

Overdale is a two-storey house located at 2 Carse View Drive in Bearsden, built in 1934 by J.R.H. MacDonald of John MacDonald Contractors Ltd. It showcases the International style with a whitewashed smooth render over a brick base and brick sills, topped by a stepped flat roof. The house features a large porch with modern glazing and a window above it on the northeast side. The eastern corner has a curved design with a five-light window on the ground floor and a four-light window on the first floor, although the glazing has been altered. The northern corner also has a curved shape with six-light windows that retain their original lying-pane glazing. The porch includes a window above it on the northwest side. The southwest side displays irregular fenestration and a narrow chimney breast, while the southeast side has a two-storey extension. Most of the glazing consists of original lying-pane metal casements. Additionally, there is a roughcast and brick garden wall surrounding the property.
