Description

Restored early 18th century farmhouse with later wings circa 1800, the whole modernised in 1946. Harled, 2 storeys, slate ridge, round projecting staircase. Occupied as a dower-house by Margaret Douglas of Mains, famous "Duchess Peggy" after the death of her husband, Duke of Douglas.
