Description
Dunaskin Brickworks, located at Waterside Ironworks in Dalmellington, was built in 1847 and expanded in 1865 in a similar Italianate style. The building is constructed of ashlar stone, featuring channelled quoins and polished dressings. On the west elevation, there are two architraved doors topped with shallow block pediments for both sections. The side elevations include a pair of tall round-arched windows in the outer bays, which are now partially blocked, and a blank central bay. Each elevation has a bracketed cornice, and the parapet is raised over the central side elevation bays. The building has undergone various later alterations.
