Description

Asymmetrical two-storey villa, squared rubble with ashlar dressings. Built 1904-07 to designs by James Foggie & Sons.

South elevation: three-bay, centre shouldered arched open porch before a three-stage tower with top corbelled oriel cornice and parapet. Art nouveau domed roof. Bay to right advanced with ground floor canted window and first floor tripartite. Bay to left tripartite at ground, bipartite over.

West elevation: bay to right advanced, canted at ground, bay to left tripartite at ground, bipartites over.

East elevation: stack corbelled out to left, advanced bipartite bay to right.

Half piended gables with vertical bargeboarding over each bay. Slate roofs with overhanging eaves, terracotta ridging and finials. Square stacks with square crowned cans.

Sash and case windows, two-pane glazing pattern, except at oriel (casement or pivot).

Garage added to rear in similar style by James Foggie & Sons, 1920.

Low rubble-built, stone-coped boundary wall.
