Description

A 2-storey and attic, 3-bay, irregular-plan villa with a steep, piended roof and advanced gables designed by Harry B Measures, and built between 1909 and 1915. The building is of dark, coursed rock-faced rubble with pale ashlar dressings and the windows have projecting cills. The main section of the principal elevation to the northeast has advanced gables to the outer bays with tripartite windows to both floors. There is an off-centre advanced bell-cast roof porch with a cat-slide roof behind. Above is a 6-light dormer and a further 3-light dormer to the attic. The gables have slit windows. There is a single-storey extension to the right.

The garden elevation to the southwest has an advanced central gable and a box bay window to the ground floor.

There are grey graded slates to the roof and wallhead and roof chimney stacks with red clay chimney cans.

The windows have mostly been replaced with pvc casements with plate glass.
