30 Bingham Terrace, Dundee

30 Bingham Terrace in Dundee is a pair of symmetrical, two-storey semi-detached villas designed by Edward Tough (Hutton and Tough) in 1909. The buildings feature harled brick and expanded metal lath, with timber turrets and verandahs resting on a rock-faced rubble-built base.

Each villa has inner gabled bays with triple light windows and octagonal angle towers that include five timber mullioned lights. The roofs are swept and adorned with Art Nouveau finials. The villas are connected by four-bay timber verandahs that have recessed doors on the ground floor.

On the side elevations, there are large stair windows, some of which contain painted glass. The rear features projecting five-light mullioned and transomed bays that are set back. The roofs are covered with slate and have tiled ridges, along with ridge stacks. The windows originally had single-pane lower cases and four and six-pane upper cases, though alterations have been made at number 28, where the windows have been changed to a two-light design in the triple-light bay. The stair windows display an unusual glazing pattern. The property is also surrounded by rubble-built retaining walls, which include some original mild steel railings and gates.
