Description

David Neave, circa 1822. Single-storey and basement

3-bay detached classically detailed house. Ashlar

front, rubble sides and rear. Front elevation central

segmental-headed fan-lit doorway reached by steps

and platt oversailing basement area. Ionic pilastered

doorpiece with cornice. 2 architraved and corniced

12-pane sash and case windows. Main cornice and blocking

course. 2 storey rear. Centre 1st floor opening altered,

formerly a stair window. Later ground floor

conservatory. Modern steps and door at W elevation.

2 wallhead end stacks, piended platformed slate roof.

Cast and wrought-iron railings set in low retaining

wall to front and steps.

Interior: some original door frames and window panelling.
