32 Milnbank Road, Dundee

32 Milnbank Road in Dundee is a single-storey and basement, detached house built around 1822 by David Neave. The house features a three-bay front with a classical design, constructed from ashlar stone at the front and rubble on the sides and rear. The front elevation has a central segmental-headed doorway with a fan light, accessed by steps leading down to a platt that oversails the basement area. The doorway is framed by an Ionic pilastered doorpiece with a cornice above. There are two architraved and corniced 12-pane sash and case windows on the front. The building has a main cornice and a blocking course, with a two-storey rear section. The central opening on the first floor has been altered and was formerly a stair window. A later addition includes a ground floor conservatory, and there are modern steps and a door on the west elevation. The roof is a piended platform covered with slate, and there are two wallhead end stacks. The front of the house is enclosed by cast and wrought-iron railings set in a low retaining wall, which also includes the steps. Inside, some original door frames and window panelling remain.
