9 Milnbank Road, Dundee

7 Milnbank Road in Dundee is a 4-storey Scots Baronial tenement built in 1871 by J Young and A M Meldrum, situated on a prominent corner site. The building features coursed rubble with ashlar dressings.

The elevation facing Milnbank Road consists of four bays, with three doors and segmental-headed windows on the first floor. Above the doors, there are false arrow loops at the first and third floors, and lozenge-shaped oculi at the second floor. The eaves line steps up over the four-bay section that includes a pub, although the ground floor has been altered. The slate roof is topped with three rubble ridge stacks. The corner bay has a hoodmould over a blocked ground floor door, and the first and second floors feature curved bow windows that transition to a rectangular shape at the third floor, which has a steep crow-stepped gable, a small window, and a wrought-iron finial.

The elevation facing Pole Park Road has eight bays, with details similar to those on Milnbank Road, though there are alterations at the ground floor. It includes two arrow loops and an oculus in lozenge shape between the sixth and seventh bays. The slate roof here also has two ridge stacks.

All domestic windows have chamfered reveals, sash and case style, with an 8-pane glazing pattern. The rear of the building is harled and has been modernised.
