Description

10 Milnbank Road in Dundee is a detached house designed in the style of David Neave, dating from around 1822. The building features classical details and consists of one storey with an attic and a basement. The north elevation is three bays wide and constructed of ashlar stone, while the side and rear elevations are made of rubble.

The entrance is marked by a central doorpiece that has pilasters and a cornice, accessed by steps and a platt that oversails the basement. The doorpiece includes a fanlight above it. There are two sash and case windows on the front, each with architraves and a cornice, along with a small inserted window. The building is topped with a cornice and a blocking course, and there is a small modern window on the east gable.

On the rear, there are raised basement sash and case windows, and three attic dormers. The central dormer is large and gabled, with a rubble-faced exterior and modern glazing, which was inserted around 1851 to allow the factory manager to view the Logie Works Factory. The house has two gable-end stacks, one of which was heightened around 1865.
