Gall's Cottage, 415 King Street, Broughty Ferry, Dundee

Gall's Cottage is a Picturesque villa designed by George Mathewson in the early 19th century. It is a single and two-storey building with an L-shaped plan, featuring harled walls with painted margins and a slate roof. The cottage has deep eaves, decorative bargeboards, and coped stacks with margined angles. The windows are primarily two- and four-pane sash and case.

On the south elevation, there is a glazed entrance porch that was originally open, featuring a door, transom light, and timber Doric columns. Inside, there is a modern glazed door with the original fanlight. To the left, there is a slightly advanced bipartite window and a modern garage addition at the far left. On the right side, a canted window is present, along with a curtain wall that has a door at the far right. Gable stacks are located on both the left and right sides.

The east elevation features a central wallhead dormer and a wide gable on the left with an attic window, while the right side has a twelve-pane window.

The north elevation has painted angle margins, a single-storey lean-to at the ground floor, and a window located in the attic on the right.
