Description

John Murray Robertson, 1881. Rectangular-plan, apsidal E end, Arts and Crafts style church. Snecked masonry with buff long and short dressings, slate roof; brick additions at NE and E. Windows single and grouped, ogival-headed.

W ELEVATION: Base course; Tudor-arched central entrance; flanking windows and band course. 5-light window with relieving arch at gallery level in gable, cill course; 3-light louvred aperture at gable head with fleur-de-lys finial and small lantern bellcote at apex; skew gable with gablet skewputts. Roof gable at right, slightly set-back squat tower at left with 3-light window, date stone '1881', eaves course and finialed spirelet.

N AND S ELEVATIONS: 5-bayed, three 3-light windows with buttresses at central bays; 3 small ridge vents.

INTERIOR: small narthex; plain walls, timber pews, communion table and pulpit centred in apse; moulded cornice, coomb ceiling; windows square and diamond glazing pattern.

Stone wall at W with wrought-iron railings, gates and simple arch.
