19-23 Beach Crescent, Broughty Ferry, Dundee

This is an earlier 19th century villa, located at 19-23 Beach Crescent, Broughty Ferry, Dundee. It is a T-plan building of two storeys and an attic, originally with three bays. The front elevation is faced with ashlar stone, while the sides and rear are of rubble masonry with contrasting dressings. The roof is slated, with cement detailing around the windows and door, and the building features eaves courses and coped stacks. A band course runs along the first-floor level. A full-height canted window is positioned on the left side of the facade. The off-centre doorpiece includes a fanlight and side windows with lying panes. The remaining windows are two-pane sash and case, with one skylight and two further canted corners. A low enclosing wall stands to the south.

The east elevation has two windows at ground floor level, with one blocked window at first floor level on the left. The north elevation includes a lower, two-storey wing, incorporating a forestair leading to a door at first floor level in the re-entrant angle. The property was depicted in an engraving of Beach Crescent circa 1835, and is featured in Bowman's Guide Book to Broughty Ferry from 1905.
