Description
90 Nethergate, 88 in Dundee is a four-storey and attic tenement building, dated 1850, featuring shops on the ground floor. It is constructed from pinkish sandstone ashlar with rubble at the rear and has a slate roof. The building has a cill band at the first and second floors, with architraved and corniced windows on the first floor, and margined windows on the second and third floors. All windows are replacement 12-pane timber sash and case windows, which include out-of-character trickle vents. The building also has small dormers with modern four-pane glazing and a corniced and shouldered wallhead stack.
The front elevation has a close doorway at the center, flanked by altered shopfronts, and features four windows on each upper floor, with a wallhead stack in the center and two dormers. The rear elevation includes a wallhead stack to the right and two dormers.
