94 Nethergate, Dundee

96 Nethergate in Dundee is a mid-19th century, four-storey, four-bay tenement that features shops on the ground floor. The front is made of ashlar stone, while the sides and rear are constructed from rubble, topped with a slate roof. At the back, there is a small L-plan tenement. The building has a cill band at the first and second floors and an eaves course. The windows on the first floor are margined and corniced, while those on the second floor are architraved, the third floor windows are margined, and all feature 12-pane timber sash and case glazing. The bottom sashes have been altered to single panes on the first and second floors. There is a corniced and linked wallhead stack, along with brick gable stacks that have been partially cut down on the right side.

On the front elevation, there is a close doorway at the center, flanked by modern shopfronts, with four windows on each upper floor and an off-centre wallhead stack. The rear elevation includes a square projecting stair tower with single windows on either side.

The interior has not been seen.

Additionally, there is a nearby property, 94 Nethergate, which is an early to mid-19th century gabled L-plan tenement located at the rear, accessed by a semi-forestair. This two-bay south elevation features piended roof dormers and a green-painted slate roof. It has gable stacks, one made of ashlar, one rebuilt in brick, and one that is missing. The windows are also 12-pane sash and case.
