Description
The walled garden, likely built around 1800, is a large, quadrangular enclosure situated within the grounds of Barjarg House. The garden is defined by high walls constructed of rubble, with ashlar dressings and coping. The upper portions of the coping are swept up at certain corners. A wide, pointed-arched gateway, centrally located on the east wall, provides access and incorporates two gates and an arch screen constructed of decorative wrought-iron with spikes. The upper sections of the gates feature chevron-patterned rails. Smaller side gates are positioned centrally along the north and south walls.
