Description

This is a sundial dated 1777, located at Barjarg House. It features a square, battered shaft resting on a stepped plinth, which in turn supports the dial. The sundial is constructed from red ashlar with a bronze gnomon. The dial is inscribed with the words "The Rev Mr Andrew Hunter of Barjarg. His Dial."
