Description

The Limeworks in Closeburn, built around 1774, consists of a row of three limekilns that face north and are positioned against a steep bank. The structure is made of squared rubble and features three segmental-arched openings at the base, each with brick fireplaces. The kilns are brick-lined and have circular openings above.
