Description
5-7 Bank Street in Dumfries is a mid-18th century, three-storey house that was formerly the home of the poet Robert Burns. Originally, the building had three bays, but two additional bays were added to the left side, likely in the late 18th century. The exterior is harled with rendered margins, and there are shops at the ground level. The upper floors feature plate glass sash windows throughout. A commemorative marble wall plaque and a modern sign are present on the building. It has end stacks and a slate roof.
