Description

These circa 1800 gatepiers were originally located at Mabie House. The pair of tall, square piers feature Doric pilasters on two faces of each pier, along with entablateurs. They are constructed of ashlar. The urn finials that originally topped the piers were removed, as evidenced in a photograph within the National Monuments Records of Scotland. The gatepiers were relocated to their current position on Holywood Station Road in 1982.
