Description
An earlier or mid-19th century farmhouse forms part of a larger farmstead. The farmhouse is a two-storey, three-bay structure with a full-height wing to the rear (north). It is constructed of whin rubble with contrasting walling on the north side. The front of the house is harled and has painted ashlar dressings. The south elevation features a central boarded door with a fanlight and a consoled pedimented hood. It has sash windows with 12 panes of glazing, shaped skews, and end stacks with corniced octagonal flues. The roof is covered with graded slates. The rear wing may have originally been single-storey and includes a west-facing door.
The farmstead consists of asymmetrical ranges, all constructed of whitewashed rubble and ashlar. Parallel blocks flank a courtyard. A low range contains an implement shed, and a taller two-storey block incorporates a bothy and former farmhouse.
