Description
This is an earlier or mid-19th century farmhouse, part of a larger farmstead. The central range is a two-storey, three-bay house constructed of whin rubble with contrasting walling on the north side. The front (south) elevation features a central boarded door topped with a fanlight and a decorative, pedimented hood. Sash windows have 12 panes of glass. The roof is covered in graded slates and has shaped skews, with end stacks featuring corniced, octagonal flues. A two-storey, three-bay rear (north) wing is attached. The rear wing may have originally been single-storey, with a door facing west.
The farmstead includes asymmetrical ranges constructed of whitewashed rubble and ashlar, arranged in parallel blocks around a courtyard. One low range contains an implement shed, while a taller two-storey block incorporates a bothy and a former farmhouse.
