Description
The Driveway Bridge, located at Kirkconnell Hall Hotel, likely dates to around 1838, coinciding with the construction of the earlier parts of the house. It is a single segmental arch bridge, designed to carry the driveway over a small stream. The north elevation and underside of the arch are constructed from bull-faced ashlar, while the south elevation uses coursed rubble. The bridge features shallow, battered abutments. The roadway is defined by a string course, and the bridge is bordered by wrought-iron parapet rails which slope upwards from the east.
