Description
This is an early to mid-19th century roadbridge spanning the Scaur water. It features two segmental arches constructed from squared rubble, with a central pier faced in bullfaced ashlar. The pier has pointed cutwaters, and the arches are defined by recessed arch rings and a band course, all finished with polished ashlar. The parapets, partially rebuilt, are ramped and splayed towards the approaches, also constructed with polished ashlar. The bridge is located within Penpont Parish, on Kiermill Road.
