Description

Penfillan Mains is an early to mid-19th century farmhouse. It is a two-storey, three-bay building constructed of painted rubble with contrasting dressings. The east-facing elevation features a mid-19th century porch with saw-toothed skews and a doorway in a re-entrant angle. All windows are 12-pane sash windows. Corniced stacks are symmetrically placed, and the roof is piended with graded slates. Single bay extensions are situated on either side of the main block. A single-storey, three-bay gabled rear wing is harled, with a piended porch centrally positioned along the south wall, and small-paned windows.
