Description
North Lodge and Gate Piers at Lannhall date from the late 18th to early 19th century. This symmetrical single-storey lodge has three bays and is harled, featuring painted margins and rusticated quoins. The east elevation includes a central door with a rectangular fanlight, 12-pane sash windows in the outer bays and flanking the door, and symmetrically placed corniced square chimney stacks. The roof is piended and covered with slate. The original gateway has been widened. On the west side of the drive, there are two ball-finialed, corniced, square piers made of painted and rusticated ashlar, which are linked by decorative cast-iron railings on a low coping. Additionally, two cut-down piers remain on the east side of the drive, with at least one being re-sited.
