Description

Rivel Cottage is a late 18th century single-storey, three-bay cottage located in Ruthwell. It features outbuildings that extend to the rear in an L-plan along Kirklands Loaning. The cottage is constructed of whitewashed rubble with contrasting painted margins. It has an inner door, four-pane sash windows, a small window, and a post box on the west gable. The outbuildings include a west-facing door at the north end. The cottage has brick end stacks and is roofed with graded slates.
