Description
43 Whitesands in Dumfries is a late 18th-century building featuring three storeys and three bays. The structure is constructed from painted snecked, stugged, and squared rubble, with ashlar dressings. It has a cornice above the ground floor, where a central door is flanked by shop windows. The first floor has plate glass sash windows, while the upper floor contains square sash windows with a vertical six-pane glazing pattern, although one of the inner windows is blind. The building has cut-down end stacks and a slate roof.
