Description

The gate-lodge at Kirtleton House dates from the earlier to mid-19th century. It is a single-storey building with a broad-eaved piend roof and features three bays. The lodge is constructed of ashlar stone, with contrasting red ashlar and raised chamfered margins. The central doorway has a modern door, and there are bipartite windows with hood moulds above them. It also has an axial stack with a pair of diamond flues and a slate roof.
