Description

Earlier 19th century. Single storey and attic, 3-bay cottage, at end of terraced row. Aberdeen bond, cherry-caulked masonry from cill level to E; elevation finely hewn coursed blocks of varied shades, with whinstone pinning. Random rubble up to cill level. Granite lintels cills, rybats and quoins to N. Painted rubble to N elevation.

E (MAIN STREET) ELEVATION: doorway at centre; modern door. Windows in outer bays. Canted and piended dormer windows, with small iron finials, above outer bays.

S ELEVATION: adjoined to No 23 Main Street (see separate listing).

N ELEVATION: gabled and blank.

4-pane glazing in timber sash and case windows; 2-pane side lights to dormer windows. Granite coped skews, mutual to S. Broad painted rubble stacks; mutual to S gablehead to N. Graded grey slates.
