Description

120 High Street in Dumfries is a building dated 1809, featuring three storeys and a central wall-head gable with a pediment. It has five bays, with modern shops occupying the ground floor. The exterior is finished in painted droved ashlar with contrasting margins. Most of the windows have modern two-paned glazing, while others are sashes that retain the original 12-pane glazing pattern. Architectural details include an eaves and lintel band, a cornice, and a balustraded wall-head parapet, topped by a slate roof. The south flank facing Old Union Street is simply harled.
