Description
21 Main Street in New Luce is a single-storey, three-bay cottage built around 1840 to 1846. The structure is made of rubble, which was formerly rendered or painted.
On the west elevation facing Main Street, there is a door located at the center, with windows positioned in the outer bays. The north elevation is attached to No 19 Main Street, while the south elevation is connected to No 23 Main Street.
The cottage features modern glazing and has red sandstone coped skew stones on the south side. There are broad rubble gablehead stacks on both the north and south sides. The roof is covered with small grey slates, complemented by a purple slate easing course, and includes two modern rooflights.
