Description
6 Agnew Crescent is a mid 19th century, 2-storey, 3-bay house that was formerly used for shops on the ground floor. It is situated on sloping ground and constructed from whinstone rubble with ashlar dressings, including a base, lintel, and eaves courses. The house features a moulded cornice, rusticated quoins, and some jambs, with painted rubble on the end gable.
On the ground floor, there is a window in the center, flanked on the right by a broad, 2-leaf doorway and on the left by a standard door, both of which have letterbox fanlights. To the outer left, there is a timber-mullioned bipartite window, and a single window is located to the outer right. A window is also present on the first floor to the left of the gable end. The sash and case windows have plate glass glazing. The house features ashlar coped skews with gablet skewblocks and broad stone stacks with a full complement of cans. The roof is covered with purple slates, while tiles are used on the rear, which includes rooflights.
