Description

The Macgowan Memorial Fountain, located on Dalbeattie Road in Dumfries, was erected in 1913. It features a glazed terra-cotta design with an elaborate base that includes a circular basin supported by a decorative pedestal with four arched supports. Above the main basin, there are smaller basins. The fountain is set in a circular trough and was previously enclosed by iron railings.
